A. This sounds like you have a lot of hard work ahead of you. With out seeing the pool itself I can't be sure. You may be looking at the residue left from the algaecide for green algae. There are 2 courses for action. First you can brush the walls and floors towards the main drain. You will want to backwash the filter when the pressure gauge indicates and continue this process till it is clear. Or, if it is exceptionally swampy and filled with debris you may need to drain the pool, acid wash and refill.
You will need to ensure that you are maintaining proper water flow in the newly cleaned pool and I would recommend the use of an algaecide (algae killer) or algaestat (algae prevention) like Potassium Tetraborate or Poly-Quats. I would recommend having this work done by a pool service professional.
We would be happy to assist you in finding a pool service professional should you feel this to be the route you wish to take. Please call 888-326-0653 opt #1 for assistance.

Q. What is an average bid for a commercial pool that's approximately 15-20 feet in length & approximately 8-10 feet in width and 5 1/2 ft. deep? This is for full cleaning service on a regular basis (2-3 times a week). |

A. Hi Jason,
I appreciate your question and your interest in securing a figure for an average bid. My suggestion is to secure several (I would suggest, for this instance, three) bids from local service professionals. As you have done here, write down specifically what you need and present that to each of the bidders. Make sure that you have a good rapport with the professional you choose -- he or she will be the person with whom, I hope, you'll be working for seasons to come.
