Our History

EveryContractor: Leading the way in serving consumers and industry professionals since 1998.

April 1998 The EveryContractor.com concept is born: match consumers and industry professionals through technology and first-class customer service. EveryContractor’s founder, David Johnson, lays the groundwork for creating one of the first information networks of its kind. The goal: make finding a building or home improvement contractor easy, safe and free. The company is unofficially known as VegasContractors.com and the focus is initially within Nevada. Originally, this fledgling business is housed in the founder’s home.
May 1999 The name EveryContractor.com is registered on the World Wide Web.
January 2000 EveryContractor.com website officially launches its website.
January 2000 The first request for a local contractor is made!
2000 – 2001 EveryContractor experiences the bursting of the dotcom bubble and strives to survive the tumultuous dotcom crash; the company meets the challenge and becomes a much broader, full-service firm.
October 2000 EveryContractor is invited to meet with Las Vegas mayor Oscar Goodman in regard to expanding to new Las Vegas Tech Center.
December 2000 EveryContractor reaches 151 clients (industry professionals).
January 2001 EveryContractor moves into a 1,492 square-feet office space.
March 2001 EveryContractor establishes exclusive marketing relationship with the Sacramento Builders Exchange in Sacramento, California.
March 2001 EveryContractor establishes exclusive marketing relationship with the Construction Notebook in Las Vegas, Nevada.
March 2001 EveryContractor establishes exclusive marketing relationship with the Sierra Plan Room in Las Vegas, Nevada.
March 2001 Sam K. Abdulaziz joins EveryContractor as Chairman of the Content Advisory Board.
March 2001 EveryContractor signs exclusive agreement with the Golden State Builders Exchanges (GSBE), gaining exclusive permission-marketing rights to member companies.
April 2001 EveryContractor establishes exclusive contract with Allstate Insurance to provide benefits to commercial artisan contractors.
April 2001 EveryContractor appoints Ben Bassi, former vice president of Lycos, to the EveryContractor Board of Directors.
April 2001 EveryContractor establishes exclusive marketing relationship with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Southern Nevada Chapter.
May 2001 EveryContractor establishes exclusive marketing relationship with the Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) Utah Chapter.
June 2001 EveryContractor has 421 clients and 22 employees.
August 2001 EveryContractor launches in Guam.
November 2001 EveryContractor reaches 1,000 clients and 31 employees.
December 2001 EveryContractor launches in Puerto Rico.
February 2002 EveryContractor launches in Canada.
February 2002 EveryContractor establishes marketing relationship with International Solid Surface Fabricators Association (ISSFA) – one of the top solid surface fabricator associations in the U.S.
April 2002 EveryContractor establishes marketing relationship with the National Association of Remodeling Industry.
May 2002 EveryContractor partners with eBay, Inc. to expand sales and marketing of materials within the building and construction industry.
May 2002 EveryContractor reaches 5,000 clients and 34 employees.
June 2002 EveryContractor launches search engine optimization (SEO) division to assist contractors in optimizing their website property and dramatically improve rankings by the major search engines.
October 2002 Successfully assists in election campaign efforts for Nevada State Attorney General Brian Sandoval by using the EveryContractor contractor matching technology.
November 2002 EveryContractor reaches 10,000 clients and 35 employees.
Labor Day 2002 Eric Wikman (EveryContractor director of IT) meets President George Bush.
October 2002 EveryContractor launches in the Virgin Islands.
December 2002 EveryContractor launches in the United Kingdom.
February 2003 EveryContractor relocates to the EveryContractor campus.
July 2003 EveryContractor meets with Nevada State Attorney General Brian Sandoval and Major General Wood of Nellis Air Force Base regarding the non-profit project of Martinez Elementary School Aviation Program.
April 2004 EveryContractor reaches 15,000 clients and 41 employees.
February 2005 Signs agreement to open second office location in Southern Nevada.
February 2006 Signs agreement to open third office location in Southern Nevada.
March 2006 Signs agreement with a top pay-per-click management company to manage clients’ advertising campaigns as an additional source of lead generation.
March 2006 EveryContractor establishes marketing relationship with Nationwide Floors.
April 2006 EveryContractor establishes marketing relationship with Kitchen Tuneup.
April 2006 EveryContractor reaches 20,000 clients and 87 employees.
May 2006 EveryContractor establishes marketing relationship with Kitchen Solvers.
June 2006 EveryContractor establishes marketing relationship with Maintenance Made Simple.
August 2006 EveryContractor launches full-time trade show division to travel the country exhibiting at local home and garden shows.
August 2006 EveryContractor establishes marketing relationship with House Doctors.
October 2006 EveryContractor establishes marketing relationship with Widow Genie.
January 2007 EveryContractor establishes marketing relationship with Electric and Gas Industry Association (EGIA) – one of the top industry associations in the U.S.
February 2007 EveryContractor reaches 30,000 clients and 97 employees.
